Mount Shasta gets soccer riches

Shasta Cascade League distinguished many from 2013 Bears' league as well as the section championship team. Properly decorated as a team after they won the league and section championships in last years soccer season; the Mount Shasta High School brought home several honors from 18th November all SCL meeting.

Mount Shasta ready for Fourth of July

For many people, Mount Shasta is the one and only place to be on 4th July, America's Independence Day. This is a time when the whole city opens the doors for a huge celebration like no other. This year’s 4th of July celebration is anticipated to fill downtown roads for 3 days starting from 4th July to 6th July.

It will begin with a huge bang as a whole lot of people will hit the streets on the 4th July morning for the thirty-fifth annual Run and Fun Walk. Registration starts at 6:30 am and the race will start at 8:30 am.

Mount Shasta lady continues her charity work

It all started more than twelve years ago with pipe cleaners handed to the kids for their very first toys. KIRF INDIA, a non profit organization, founded by Mount Shasta lady Diane Kirwin. She has worked hard to transform parts of Bodhgaya in India to help the poor. she describe this place as the poorest of the poor in this country.
